You can make a difference in the lives of immigrants and
asylum-seekers living here in our community!
100% of your donations go to assist work such as:
- Swap Meet Justice legal advocacy and family resource fairs.
The legal advocacy fair helps immigrant families complete their applications for Citizenship, DACA and green card renewals, voter registration, fee waivers, and more. Volunteer immigration attorneys are available to answer questions. It happens every last-Sunday-of-the-month at the Oxnard College Community Market (“swap meet”) and is completely free.
The family resource fair that is a growing part of “the Swap Meet Justice Village” offers an Expungement Clinic and community organizations providing COVID shots, Medi-Cal and CalFresh signups, and more.
Details at SwapMeetJustice.org.
- DACA renewal application fees for young immigrants. DACA applicants are not entitled to fee waivers for the hefty $495 renewal fee.
- Families awaiting their asylum hearing while living in Ventura County, who need one-time assistance with daily living expenses, such as groceries.
